Need Advice: Background Check Concerns After Receiving Analyst Offer
I recently received and signed an offer for an analyst position at one of the major brokerages in NYC. I am currently in the pre-boarding phase and have some questions regarding my background check, if anyone can assist. I received a DWAI while in college and am wondering whom I should disclose this to and when, as well as whether it might disqualify me from the position. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
Hire an attorney and sue the brokerage for being racist. Your welcome
I think they ask if you've ever been convicted of anything in the precheck questions right? Should've said it then, I think since it's 3 years and it affects your license they will see it. Better to be upfront now, know people who lied about being fired (different) and was let go. Heard of others who had serious records and accusations that were found out after they were there and let go.
It was never brought up in any interviews or questionaries I have answered.
Ahh, maybe then you're fine and just be honest if it does get brought up. Or maybe bring it up now and say to HR, I just wanted to be upfront and transparent about it - it may or may not come up on my background check.
HR or the recruiter I have been working with?
Maybe mention it the the recruiter - over the phone lol. Ask for a call and say hey didn't see this on the background check, do you think it would be good to disclose and what would be the best way.
I mentioned it. Seems like that was probably the best move. We will see what happens over the next week or two 🙏
Brokerage right?
There’s a good chance they already ran it and it’s why they offered you the job.
