New York CRE Networking

This topic may have previously surfaced, but I am new to the thread and was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a group meet-up / happy hour for commercial real estate professionals (Development, Capital markets, REPE, Etc.) in NYC? Being in the office for extended hours during the week makes it difficult to meet our peers in the industry, so thought it would be a good way to get out there and meet others in the CRE rat race. Maybe expense a few drinks...

Let me know you thoughts on having Friday/Saturday 'Happy Hours' to connect with others in the business. Looking forward to connecting.

They have a WSO Real Estate group but I don't think they have a meet up and no one really goes to the WSO in NYC from what I've seen.

For networking I'd recommend Bisnow events, TRD events, and I'm sure your office will send around different events/happy hours. I'm also in NYC for CRE and started 4-5 months ago. I also try to reach out to people I networked with when finding a job. Reaching out to people around my age at other shops (alumni I had reached out to before) it's hit or miss with that.

I would be interested in this though.
