Newmark Appraiser

So I just completed an interview for a valuation and advisory position in the Northeast for Newmark. According to the recruiter, compensation is hourly and ranges from $19-$21 an hour. My interview today was with hirig managers and went pretty well but that sounds absurdly low and I would be taking around a 10k paycut. Anyone have experience with Newmark as an employer or have any salary info?

That sounds about right for an entry level appraisal role. After a year you would probably move to a commissioned role where you get a slice of the fees on what you execute. See if you can learn more about the team that you would be joining to see what kind of volume they typically handle.
