Newmark Debt & Structured Finance NYC

Curious whether anyone has any current insights into the culture / comp / rep / etc of the group (Stolly & Roeschlaub's). Know there was a TRD article last year announcing mass departures and a "toxic" work environment - curious whether anything's changed since then / how toxic it really is.

While you're right, and I do understand your point, I doubt it'll make any practical differences. If you're a 20 something year old dude tryna make it in the business without a foot in the door at another shop and your choices are to work for Dustin and Jordy or to work for some random Jamoke who will be nicer to you, you're probably going to go work for Dustin and Jordy. And if you don't, there are 100 other kids who will make that choice. That influx of candidates is also what makes practical change unlikely. These kinds of guys often see their analysts as numbers who can neatly be interchanged and its unfortunately…..because they can.

Listened to a Newmark webinar back in the summer with them two leading it.

Jordy sounds like the biggest frat bro doushe I have ever heard. Just think of your sterotypical frat movie guy saying “like totally bro” that is exactly how he sounds. Dustin actually sounds smart and professional.

They were crushing it on deals before that article. It definitely impacted there business a bit.
