News Sources for RE?
What are some good Real Estate news sources? I keep looking around the basic (Yahoofinance, MorningBrew, CNN, MSNBC, InBusiness etc) but can't find the best RE specific platform. Anyone have any good places they read from? thanks
Commercial observer. It's NY based (not sure where you are located) but they have a lot of good articles. There is also Curbed and the Real Deal. The articles in those two aren't as informational/educational but they include a lot of short reads about recent transactions. If you are a ULI member, they mail you their magazine.
Bisnow is one of the largest platforms. CoStar isn't bad either if you have a subscription. Generally, I get more and better information from blogs or sites specific to my local market.
+1 for Bisnow. Good broad coverage of the industry as a whole.
Reis is also a decent option. You can filter news by location which is nice.
CMAlert is the most useful, and all subscription from banks, BofA, Jpmorgan, Wells Fargo, credit suisse, axiometric, reis, RCA, trepp, Morningstar
Some sources I have bookmarked:
BisNow
Multifamily Executive
Multihousing News
NREI Online
REBusiness Online
PERE
PERE is more than 2K per year...
their Friday letter is usually a good read and it's included as part of their free subscription
If you're in LA, Urbanize.la is THE place to read about new development.
This is great!
Bisnow, Curbed, France Media, Globe Street
Commercial Property Executive (cpexecutive.com) is great
The News Funnel is a good source. It's a real estate news sources that aggregates a bunch of different RE news sources together in one place. You can even set your profile up with filters based on geographic profile or industry.
