Non native English Speaker - Real estate Resume Review

Hello everyone,

I am a non native speaker currently applying for jobs abroad,

Even if I am confident in my english skills (not that much), I am not sure about my resume phrasing,

Is anyone willing to help me to correct my grammar/english mistakes?

I am obviously open to criticism/help!

Thanks in advance,

Have a nice day!

  1. Never submit a resume in a Word document form. Always use PDF.

  2. You should reconsider your font.

  3. You misspelled "Literature" in the Interests section. You also write "etc"... I would get rid of that, because more than likely, nobody has heard of any of the authors you talked about.

  4. Your education should be listed at the top, since you're a student

  5. You don't list your GPA...?

  6. Your relevant classes are very vague... "Accounting" could mean many things. Financial accounting? M&A Accounting? Management Accounting? Be specific.

  7. "Specialization" needs to be capitalized.

  8. You could B.S. a LOT of things as your finance club president... your bullet points are very vague and uninteresting

  9. Don't submit your full name and zip code to an anonymous forum.

Thanks a lot for your answer,

I did indeed not realized that I put my name on it, I made this post pretty quickly on a small break!

Actually I am graduating this summer, should I keep school first?

In Europe and even more for French schools , GPA does not matter at all (I have never been asked for it once even for some M&A interviews),

Thanks a lot, I will work on it!

I completely agree with the above.

I would suggest you go to your schools career advancement center or whatever it may be in France, and ask them to help you put together a quality resume. Sunshine Funshine is right that some of your bullet points are very vague and don't tell much. Work with someone at your school and tell them the specifics of deals/transactions/research you've assisted with, and have them help you with detailed statements about each. Because honestly, that resume format reminds me of my freshman year resume filled with detail-less landscaping jobs.

I would maybe edit this post for more anonymity too. Like, take off your name for starters. Not difficult for me or anyone else to use that internet thing and see your professional profile.
