Non-Traditional RE jobs you think would be cool?
Random thought but what non traditional gigs relative to RE do you think would cool? As in, not your usual acquisitions, AM, development, brokerage or lending roles with banks, developers, owners or funds.
To start:
-
Saw a role awhile back for a RE Development role with JetBlue overseeing their terminal development/expansion at LaGuardia Airport
-
Store development at Apple could be sort of cool. Maybe a bit cookie cutter but probably a fun gig.
I’m with that second one. Store development for any firm that’s in the midst of blowing up would be sweet. Like apple or Starbucks right before it entered the mainstream.
A few years ago, a firm I was speaking with developed and invested in sports arenas/stadiums around the US
I have no idea how you value those but I thought that was super cool. Or if your company was tasked with creating the infrastructure for the Olympics.
