Short answer…there is nobody. Every successful broker took a chance at some point. That’s the mindset, nobody will give you such an opportunity risk free.
If you gotta have salary then get on the lender side. You will have a generous salary there…but that commission structure is very different. You’ll have a ‘waterfall’ structure where you have to pay back 3-4 times your salary and then keep maybe 25% of revenues you bring in. Broker (on the debt side) is usually 50/50 right out the gate.
This isn’t true. The elite teams have salary + bonus structure for analysts-VP level similar to banking
Big shops will give you a draw to start, but you have to pay it back. Typically by year end. At least that’s how it was where I was.
Based off an interview I had, I was under the impression that Eastdil pays a salary all the way up the ranks but that may stop at a certain title.
