I'm in DC and the city is forming their Tax Abatement Policy for Office to Residential Conversions. One of the repeated questions that comes up is what are other cities and jurisdictions doing to incentivize the conversion of deteriorating office buildings. Was curious to see what other jurisdictions have either proposed or implemented into law. Also, if implemented into law, is the incentive enough to pursue a conversion?
