Options to leave REIB

All,

Ignore title. Currently associate 3 in London and on my way to be promoted VP at a US BB in the Real Estate IB team.

I am lucky to have a little one on the way and currently completely burnout, between unpredictable hours, weekend work and unreasonable senior demands.

Did a couple of internships when I was younger in REPE and kinda like it, but would like to avoid top funds as I would likely end up in IB 2.0. What options would you suggest to maintain still a decent package (basis mostly) while having better WLB? Also, appreciated if anyone has comps for VP level at institutional companies or corp dev.

PE associate / VP level hiring is very spotty rn in my experience.

For WLB, you may want to look at RE platforms of insurance companies or pension funds. You could also look for jobs at ODCE fund platforms.

Best of luck!
