Outsourcing “Brainless Analyst” work

Hey all,

Has anyone had any success in outsourcing deal screening, memo creations etc?

I’m trying to avoid hiring a “monkey” type analyst.

Are there foreign recruiting firms that handle something like this?

Sorry everyone looking for an analyst role!

Yeah multiple firms use companies in India (or by now I guess they employ them in house) to do monkey work like transfer data from rent rolls and operating statements into their model. I used to do all this when I was an analyst and shit sucked. It is luxury to be able to outsource this work. You need to train them well and might even have to go to India to properly set up the operations. It might seem like a lot of work but once you train them, it is like a well oiled machine. I have no complaints. Time difference means that even late evening/night I can request them to load up rent rolls and operating statements/budget into our model and by next morning, it will be in my inbox. And by now, they have done a ton of deals that there are almost no errors (it is also not rocket science to be able to check their work like in the rent roll, the total number of units, SF, market rent, in place rent, etc should match the source doc for example) and now they will even do things like point out to me that in month X last year R&M expenses increased by 30% for example or the borrower's budgeted utilities expenses are 25% lower than the T-12. So, after a point they go beyond monkey work and start to look at the big picture like any good analyst.

sounds like a win win for everyone. 50 bucks an hour if she can go fast is pretty decent and probably way cheaper than hiring an employee
