Anyone know anything about this group out of Atlanta? I’ve seen them work on some cool deals but don’t know much about them. Anyone know anything about their reputation and if it’s a solid place to work?
Good rep throughout the southeast. You’ll work on interesting deals with sharp people. Not quite large institutional sized stuff for the big sponsors, but one level below in the upper middle market. They work with the best local sponsors in their respective markets. They do a good job of promoting from within, which can be rare on certain debt teams.
I’ve worked with them in the past a few times, both in the debt and equity side. As with any brokerage shop it depends who you’re working with. I feel like most people in the southeast are familiar with them but they obviously aren’t as recognized as an Eastdil, CB, JLL, etc. Some good experiences with them, some neutral. I'll just add that the founder is a very understated guy despite being knowledgeable and well-connected. That likely makes a difference in the culture of the organization. As others have said, good reputation in their region. They have been growing their team.
