Curious if anybody knew how much these guys and gals are pulling? Do you guys think that some sector heads like AM for Multifamily might be pulling $1mil?

Used to work at a competitive Life Co. If I had to guess, (and these are just guesses, I have no clue but it’s real fun to guess!) the head of the group was making $3MM-$10MM per year. The senior executives were probably making $1MM-2MM and than the group heads of acquisitions or asset management were probabaly a $750,000 number.
I’ll also add, I highly doubt a sector head is pulling in $1MM. But you never know. You need to remember that $1MM as a W2 employee is a truckload of cash. Most people will never make that and to do so based on salary and bonus, you generally need to be a very gifted employee or high up on the food chain.
I know it’s not the same, but look at large public REIT executives.
If you’re head of office asset management for a large portfolio at a LifeCo, you could probably run the portfolio of an equivalent sized office REIT as well.
So if a $4bn office REIT is paying their head of AM $1mil, that’s a good comp
