Piece - A platform for buying shares in rental properties.

Hey WSO community,

As millennial real estate investors, we were frustrated by how time-consuming and capital intensive it is to invest in rental properties. At the same time, we found we weren’t the only ones who had an interest in buying quality, but affordable real estate. In order to streamline the process, we built Piece ( http://trypiece.com/ ), a platform where people can buy shares in specifics rental properties and start receiving rental income instantly.

These are a few key benefits of buying shares from us: Entirely Passive: You don’t have to invest any time at all to your investment and the process is totally hands-off. We handle everything including finding tenants and property management. Liquidity: After a 3 to 6 month holding period, you can freely sell shares back to us or others through a secondary market. Ability to choose specific homes: We give people the freedom and ability to choose specific homes in a given market. Ownership growth: You get the benefits of a mortgage without taking the risk of a loan. For e.g., if you initially own 4% out the 40% down payment in a home, over time your stake will grow as the principal is paid down. High Cash Flow returns: We ensured we selected properties with high month over month cash returns. Tax Deductions: You can make tax deductions like property depreciation by investing with us.

If you’re interested in participating in our beta, please check out our site and reserve shares in one of our homes: piece.com. We’re also eager to learn more from the WSO community about any feedback they have about our product or past experiences in buying investment properties.
