Preparing for CRE appraisal trainee position

Despite the COVID-19 situation, I will be starting a new job soon as a trainee at a commercial real estate appraisal firm. I am just posting to ask what things it would be helpful to familiarize myself with before starting.

I already know how to model in excel reasonably well, and I've done some more advanced modeling for real estate. What are some other things that would be helpful to be familiar with?

Also, if you know of any free resources I can use, please let me know!

Thanks for any insight!
