Preparing for job in REITs..

Hi Guys,

I am switching from the Energy Industry (was a trader at a large company) to REITs. I managed through family connections to land a job without that many interviews.

I managed to secure the job but I have no experience in financial modelling and my industry knowledge is reduced to research papers I read - I dropped-out of 2nd year into PhD but have the ability to understand research papers - and followed related news but that's about it.

Any advice on how to prepare? I was thinking about practicing at making nice slides and graphs to score points the first month.
