Private Equity - Equity Placement Firm
Hey guys,
Usual poster here but posting under this account to remain anonymous.
Currently have an opportunity to work within a small PE firm with 100 people who raise capital and place equity into acquisition/development deals with large owner/operators (Think Greystar , Related, Hines caliber firms) throughout the nation. They have raised over 2 funds thus far. The job entail a mix of hats since it's a small firm. Would assist with modeling of potential acquisitions/developments of other developers to see if the investment are feasible to hit the targeted return of our firm, creating investment memos for committee, and portfolio analysis (since they place the equity there is no real Asset Management). This seems like a great opportunity to grow into a highly diversified role, work with institutional firms and upper management, and placing equity into deals.
The question I have is, does this experience translate into a role where I can learn all nuances of a transaction from soup to nuts, if I do decide to stick it out for the long run, and potentially venture off on my own after 10+ years?
