Promotion to Associate
Hey everyone. I’m currently reaching the third year for my company’s three year analyst program. Does anyone know how difficult it is to get promoted to Associate? Think like PGIM RE, MetLife, etc. thanks!

MetLife doesn't auto promote to associate at the end.
Not to hijack but what does the comp increase normally look like?
Say an Analyst is making $90K base. What’s a realistic internal jump to Associate?
Market and experience dependent. If a lifeco, I feel it is likely $100k - $115k. If a private equity I think this number could push to $150 if you’re at one of the sweatshops but would likely land in the $115k - $125k range.
From personal experience at Met, they don’t use any sort of set promotion schedule. Additionally, I haven’t seen any promotions from analyst straight to associate. PGIM may be different, but MetLife has a senior analyst role that comes before associate which can easily last a couple years minimum. Off the top of my head I can’t think of anyone being hired for an associate role with less than 6 years experience.
