Not to be pedantic or to be very pedantic you can't buy properties in Mexico, you can however LEASE them for 99 years.
I've been there for a spring break back in-I don't want to think about how long ago- It was nice fun a lot of college kids and I remember the beaches not being great. Also I wouldn't invest and believe most investments are only sold via time-share form(at the retail level). So don't do it.
I'm waiting for the 1 guy who actually knows about this to chime in and prove me wrong.
