"YounqTrickDaddy" What are some exit opportunities for 1st year acquisitions analysts?

Acquisitions is typically the end game - an exit opportunity would be an acquisitions associate or an acquisitions analyst at a bigger shop.

"YounqTrickDaddy"What is usually asked in a 20 minutes excel test at a private equity firm?

In only20 minutes I wouldn’t expect it to be too detailed. More overview focused and making sure you know what you’re doing enough

I definitely broke the 100-story AMA limit on Instagram. Feel free to post questions here, and by all means, feel free to respond to other questions. I’m hardly the expert on everything.

"Sham Wow" Can you still see it?

I can see it in the feed but I can’t respond because the initial page is gone (over 100 posts ago). Feel free to post questions here for me/others to tackle

"NYYCRE"What are your plans for the short term? You mentioned eventually going out on your own. Do you plan on transitioning into a different asset class or role prior?

I hope to get experience in other asset classes in a similar role to where I am now. That transition could be 3 months from now or 3 years from now, depending on how life/the market goes.

"NYYCRE"What aspect of Development has been the biggest learning curve for you?

Construction management. My current company has DMs very involved in the construction process. I wish I would have had a year of construction or engineering experience in my background. It’s a lot more complicated than taking one Excel cell and dividing it by another.

"CREgorrilla"Did you have any difficulty getting into your MRED program with the undergrad GPA you had?

Nah. Perhaps if I was applying to MIT it would have come up, but MRED programs are not ranked and thus are able to actually be holistic in their admissions. I also own/owned why my GPA sucked - to be a cliche, it wasn't due to lack of intellect, it was due to lack of maturity. In highschool, I got away with everything, teachers bent over backwards for me, and mommy and daddy were never far away. In college, it doesn't work that way. Took me a while.

"CREgorrilla"Did leveraging any previous experience help you get your foot in the door?

I did well on the GRE, had some experience, had solid letters of recommendation, and was/am legitimately passionate about the industry - all of which helped.
