Questions about Capital Markets

Recently got an offer for a capital markets internship at a very reputable firm. I am in the process of interviewing for some other really good internships in CRE IB and Private Credit, with superdays soon. In trying to decide whether or not to accept the offer, a few questions came up about capital markets in general. If I don’t love real estate, do you think I’ll have opportunities to re-recruit after next summer? If I do like the capital markets role for directly post-college, what exit opportunities look like, what salary is like, etc? (For context, the CM role is in LA)

Would appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you!

From what I understand, it's hard to recruit out of real estate (you would have to downgrade firms). The paths out of real estate that are the most common are either real estate investment banking (and then emphasizing that you worked on corporate deals vs asset level deals) or mega fund real estate private equity (with similar logic). If you are working on asset level deals, it's going to be hard if you want a similar "tier" firm.
