Questions to ask potential Real Estate Development employer
I'm currently in the later stages of interviews for a position with a small real estate development company, this would be my first opportunity in real estate as I have a military background. They have their own investments and developments but I would start off working on their fee based projects.
They've arranged for me to meet with several people in the company to "get to know as much as possible about them". I think this is mainly looking for cultural fit but its also a chance for me to learn more about the company as it is a small group that I'd be working with directly.
I am wondering what would be good questions to ask specific to the industry that I may not be aware of? For instance, they mentioned a non-compete for the metro area I would be working in due to a previous incident with a former employee and I don't have a problem with that at face value, but are there details I need to be aware of? Are there other industry specific questions I can ask that would raise any potential red flags about working there?
So far, the company seems like a great opportunity, I just want to ensure I use the time to ask smart questions.
Thanks
