Quote on LinkedIn Profile
This might be a dumb and inconsequential question but is it douchey to have a quote on you’re LinkedIn profile? Just wanted to know cause I was considering putting one on mine.

Yes. I’d assume youre the type of person that takes selfies in your car and has a live laugh love thing in your living room.
Would suggest against it. I think minimal LinkedIn profiles are the best, nobody has ever been hired because of their LinkedIn profile and, in fact, it can definitely be detrimental when recruiting for internships etc to come across as douchey on LinkedIn

Honestly, I don't take those people seriously.
If you need a quote in your LinkedIN profile there is probably nothing really interesting about you.
I'm a big fan of meaningful quotes. I have a handful of personal favorites.
Do not put a quote on your LinkedIn profile.

Every time I see a linkedin profile with an inspirational quote, I die a little bit on the inside.
I think it’s fine. I have a quote on mines and it relates directly to my line of work and story. Received positive feedback. Depends how far you take it.
I added one two months ago and my November YoY views comp was up +76%. Mine reads - “I came here to kick ass and chew bubblegum...and I’m all out of bubblegum.” Some people might call me a hardo but I think they just don’t have any self awareness or respect for my go-getter attitude or went to a non-target.
Not a quote, but my boss was looking at a candidates profile a few months ago and said “look at this guy - he refers to himself in 3rd person. Next.”
