RE Acquisition groups that hire fresh graduates

Hello,

I was curious to know what RE Acquisition groups/firms hire analysts right out of college and what the competition is for such positions.

A little about me:

  • Senior taking an extra semester (January 2021 Graduation) studying Finance and Real Estate at a well-known school (Non-Ivy) in the tristate area. Many top of the class students in the business school receives job offers in IB and various BB firms. On the other hand, very few alumni in RE, let alone Acquisitions.

  • President of the school's RE Club

  • ARGUS Certified (Currently studying beyond certification material from ARGUS Manual). Also learning ProForma modeling from Udemy.

  • Previous RE experience in Residential Brokerage and Law

  • Was supposed to be at a RE Development firm this summer but company ghosted me after I secured the internship and they started working remotely...

I'm just a student passionate about RE. I've tried my hand in various facets of finance but nothing excites me more than learning something new in real estate. Having spoken with many guest speakers we've brought to our club, I find the best fit for me in terms of my character and career goals to be in Acquisitions.

Apart from the question above asking which firms hire acquisition analysts straight out of college, what advice would you have for me? What additional skills should I learn?

Best,
