RE IB as a foreign student

Hello,
I'm going to start undergrad university degree in October doing accounting and business in the best business school in my country. I'm from a small country  but I do  have a green card.
What's the best way to make sure I'd get into a top REIB group in the US?

Any advice or tip is much appricated.

Kind regards.

- Communicate clearly on any application going forward that you don't need sponsorship.
- Gain work experience within the US, internships, etc
- Apply, interview and behave in a way that you could "be there" any moment, willingness to fly in, get your own place, ..

Now, some people would just "make up an address" to show they live in the US in a certain city. First of all, I don't think there has to be an address on any resume, second: I don't know how credit/background checks work if you don't reside in the US.
