Can anyone who specializes in JV equity placement for RE investment projects talk about the necessary skill sets and qualifications? I am a debt broker in a small shop and would like to explore this equity placement channel. The shop does not do any equity placement. I've done some research about if there are any licensing requirement such as FINRA when the equity investors will be institutional investors such as Life Co or family offices. The findings are not unclear. Any real-life experiences sharing will be much appreciated.
