RE PE within family office of founder of one of the mega PE shops

All - I am considering joining the real estate arm of a newly-created family office (sponsor is the founder of one of the mega PE funds). I'm having trouble evaluating the comp structure they've offered (cash comp of few hundred K + a few points in the RE business - uncrossed deals). The cash comp seems decent but I'm more interested in the carry, and trying to determine if the initial offer (few points) is on par w/ market for a similar role (SVP / principal) and firm. I realize that's a pretty broad / open-ended question, but any and all thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
