Real Estate Dissertation / Help from professional

Hi everyone,

I'm actually a student in Master Degree, majoring corporate finance. I'm writing a thesis on the following subject:

"The impact of the economic conjuncture/environment on Real Estate M&A transactions".

I would like to achieve some interview of investment bankers who are working on Real Estate deals, as the third part of my thesis. Is there some bankers on this forum who would be please to answer to my questions?

Obviously, you can remain anonymous, and the name of your society won't be named in my writing.

Best regards,

Hi, thanks for your answer.

@The Duke of Wall Street : my questions would be :

1) Can you tell me about contemporary issues related to Real Estate M&A?

2) In your opinion, does the real estate sector correlate with the economy and other sectors, or do you observe a decorrelation between the operations you perform and the economic health of the country in which you operate?

3) Does the current low interest rate environment established by the ECB allow you to carry out more transactions?

4) What are the different types of financing used in Real Estate M&A trades, and which one do you see most often?

5) How can you characterize post merger integration value creation in the Real Estate sector?

6) What are the most important criteria for you to consider in a transaction?

7) What are the main differences between Real Estate M&A and the other sectors?

8) In your opinion, what are the factors that will govern Real Estate's operations the most in the next 12 months? (the rise in rental prices, office space / the desire to diversify its portfolio / investors looking for a stable return in uncertain times, volatility context and rising rates / rise in prices of homes for individuals?)

cre_questions : by society i mean your actual firm.

Best regards,

My advice would be to narrow down your thesis a little. You’ve got a lot of broad questions / topics there. You can find other students theses online and you’ll see they usually pick a specific idea to research and prove
