Real estate portfolio/asset management for family office ?

Hi, currently an investment banking analyst and recently been headhunted for a family office of a high net worth individual to manage their real estate assets.

Was wondering if someone could offer an insight as to what this role could entail? Things like day to day, and how it would differ to traditional real estate asset management etc
