Recent Grads - Do we still have jobs??

Hi everyone I hope you've all been staying healthy and safe with your families. I'm a recent college grad and just accepted a full time position that's supposed to start mid-summer. The company I will be working for is definitely impacted by recent economic events, and I'm super worried I won't have a position come the start date. For a little context but to not give away the company, it's a large player in the secondary mortgage market. Anyone else in the industry nervous about job security?

Oh well that's kinda good news! I agree it's really unfortunate seeing people's offers being swiped out from under their feet. I'm just nervous because I've contacted my recruiter twice in the past 3 weeks regarding my position with no response so I'm starting to sweat.

Congrats on your position though and I wish you the best of luck!

Did you reach out and ask them? If so, what did you say? I am supposed to be joining the acquisitions team of a smallish developer in late June. I am thinking about reaching out to my manager. Should I wait it out or be proactive in determining the soundness of my position?

Just got word today, from a major brokerage, that my start date was moved back 3 months. Assuming this is all over by the end of summer many of these firms will need to hire back considering the amount of maturing debt that needs to be refinanced over that period and the sudden opportunity to acquire assets at a discount (leading to acquisition loans). Stay positive.

I have a full time offer at a firm that got hit hard. Meanwhile I also have a grad school offer (top 10 MFE) but have to make a decision soon. Should I go for the grad school before they fire me?
