Recruiting for Carlyle?

Curious if anyone has any insights on the recruiting process for Carlyle’s RE team. Is it fairly similar to traditional PE where you have to recruit far in advance, or is it more so on an as-needed basis? My understanding is they only take people with 2 years of experience to then start as an associate, so trying to figure out the timeframe for when you could reasonably expect to start recruiting. Also wondering if your typical associate position there is always an acquisitions/AM blend, or if you ever solely do Acq/AM/PM. Thanks in advance!
