What does the regulatory environment look like for CRE funds. tons of small funds out there that invest in properties or mortgage debt using investor money with seemingly little reg. Do principals of these funds have to be licensed with FINRA or some other regulatory body? How are they qualified/legally allowed to be responsible for investor cash? How are they incorporated?
