FT or summer?

I recruited for Eastdil this summer and it was a very atypical process no structure/online ad, literally sent my cv across had a call with 3 people on the line then went into the office had 5 interviews (None of them technical, all fit and just chatting) Got an offer about 2 months later hahaha.

FT. Was this eastdil position for REIB?

I had a similar experience. This is typical of many RE firms. Depends on the company, and further than that, depends on the office. the NY office of one company may be very structured while the LA office of that same company has no recruiting timeline, and even further than that, can depend on the department within a company. So unlike traditional IB recruiting, RE recruiting is more loosely structured. I'm actually somewhat surprised about eastdil, they seem to have larger analyst class sizes that start all around the same time.

best way is to know someone who can put your resume in, second best is headhunting (probably not an option for undergrad), third best is on-campus recruiting, fourth best is cold email / call with alumni or someone that you can try to draw a connection to, fifth best is the good ol cold email / call, sixth best is the black hole (online job portals)
