I am just wondering if the REIT MBA hiring process is usually long-wait.

Hiring is generally a crapshoot. Sometimes companies move super fast and sometimes it is slow. Slow isn't always bad, it could just be they are super busy and haven't had time to get the decision makers in a room yet.
Could also be that they might have offered the role to another candidate and are waiting for their answer, but they want to keep you around in case they decline.
