I'm interested in working for a large hotel, office, or multifamily REIT and was wondering how the recruiting process functions compared to other industries.

What function? IIRC, I don't think any REIT recruits an analyst class for acquisition. They mostly take lateral hires.
Can anyone speak to the advantages of working at a REIT over a REPE or Development firm?
