REPE SA Offer - Take it or leave it?

Hola folks,

I need your advise for an important decision I have to make.
I recently got an offer from one of the most reputable BB REPE teams for a summer internship position in London.I am currently hesitating to take the offer or not. The main focus was to get a foot in the door of something PE related to join a PE fund in the future.
Since I plan to start working full time at one of the MBB consultancies after my current MSc in Finance next year (already got an offer contingent on one last partner interview) I wonder whether the Internship is suitable to get a step ahead of the competition towards a later role in a PE fund or if it is redundant since I do consulting in between anyway.

What do you think about this situation? Should I take the offer?

Thanks for the help!

I don't think you understood the question correctly. I already have an offer for a summer analyst position at a large REPE fund as well as a realistic opportunity to start FT at an MBB next summer. I only wonder if this internship provides me with any helpful skill set/bumps up my CV in a way that helps me to achieve my goal to join a PE fund after my consulting years or not. I hope this clarifies the issue at hand.

My bad.

I would do the internship in RE PE since it would give credibility in interviews as you already have a more profound idea of what to expect in the business. Independent from my opinion, a classmate (MBB now) did the same to improve his chances down the road for placing in PE as he fears it might be more difficult to break in as a consultant.
