Resume boosters for real estate analyst roles without any real estate experience?

I have been working as a financial analyst at a large engineering contracting firm for just over a year but am eager to move into a career in real estate finance. Real estate has been an interest of mine for many years, so I believe this will be a much more interesting and fulfilling fit for me in the long term. I've reviewed dozens of job reqs and many of the RE investment analyst roles seem to have a 70%+ skill and responsibility overlap compared to my current job.

Unfortunately, I realize I might not come across as a viable candidate to employers as I have no relevant real estate experience. What are some courses or certifications that I can complete while I have a full time job to become a more attractive candidate to employers?

I am currently looking into the following, but am not sure if they are recognized by employers enough to help me break into the industry:

MIT Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investment online course - this seems like a pretty streamlined way to pick up some real estate education, but it's quite pricey at $2,500.

CFI FMVA Cerfication - I'm interested in this for both the certification itself and the opportunity to highlight the real estate financial modeling course education on my resume. It's more affordable at $500 and I've read that it takes about half a year to complete, which is doable for my timeline.

I currently have a BS in economics.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
