Are you dead set on REPE? Mostly operators, family offices, and brokerage shops in SD.
LA and OC is where you're going to find REPE firms, but generally a tough job market right now.
Def not set on REPE. Team fit is a much bigger consideration for me personally. A big chunk of my deals by volume have been for large family offices, so very familiar with the logistical challenges associated with operating multigenerational family offices and I'd happily work for one. I'd probably hesitate to do brokerage, but would have to meet the actual teams to make a decision. And agreed, market is pretty slim right now. Thanks for the reply!
SD CRE market is very small... so you're probably going to have to pound the pavement a bit. Much smaller job market compared to OC for whatever reason.
Agree with what other have said. You'll likely need to move to the operator side in San Diego but there are a handful of really good/stable companies to work for. ConAm, Fairfield, MGP, Virtu, Redhill, etc.

Ironically SD is a great market for life sciences jobs. I’m pretty sure Johnson and Johnson has a huge presence there. You could always look into pharma sales.
