Strength of CRE/PERE Job Market Amid Recession?

Assuming that we are entering into a recession, I am concerned regarding the strength of the job market as I approach the end of undergrad (2021). Could the recession potentially be good for the job market, with a potential increase in Acquisitions/Development/AM roles?

For those who may have had a similar timeline in 2008, any anecdotes or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. For those who are also approaching the end of undergrad, are you concerned?

Many thanks in advance.
