Subpoena Fees
A bit of a unique question here.
Our firm has a mezzanine loan on a property and we have been subpoenaed by the current owner asking for emails to help them in litigation against a prospective buyer who walked away from acquiring the asset.
For something like an approval of an easement agreement, where the owner needs our sign off, ourselves and the senior lender can typically charge anywhere from 10k-25k for our approval.
I'm curious if anyone has any insight into fees charged when providing documents for a subpoena. It's technically within our rights to charge the fee per our docs, but the language essentially reads as "reasonable fees". I typically think of reasonable at cost + some small % of admin fees, but my legalese is lacking.
