Syndication

I wanted to ask people on this forum a question that could be redundant. I am current working at a smaller firm doing CRE brokerage. I am wondering if someone switches over to a larger group such as CBRE, JLL, Moran and Co, or Berkadia could I still do a syndication or a development deal (I am under the impression you lose autonomy with the larger groups)? Wanted to hear anyone's opinion or experience with a similar situation. Please PM thank you
