Trading to Real Estate?
Has anyone on here made the jump from sales & trading (fixed income, equities, etc.) at a bank to Real Estate? I took a few courses in undergrad in real estate and was in a real estate club, but never ended up pursuing recruiting in real estate because the banking recruiting cycle started long before the real estate recruiting cycle. I regret that decision because during that time I was always more interested in real estate - I just accepted a trading job because it was safe (at that time not many people were getting jobs right away as COVID was affecting recruiting). Even now, I think that the work in real estate would suit my personality better than trading. As I look into careers in real estate, and what would be a good fit, what do you think I should consider?
Would a master's in real estate be necessary to make the transition? What options would you suggest I explore to make myself more marketable?
