Transitioning from Hotel Development

Currently working for a national hotel developer, and my team is focused mainly on select service product. Would it be difficult to move to different asset classes later in my career if I wanted? Feel like multi would be a no brainer right? But what about transitioning to commercial development from hotel development? Thanks for any input!

Curious why you'd want to leave the asset class? I would maybe consider transitioning to more luxury / resort product as the demand for those products has been really strong since COVID (although may start to hurt given recession headwinds). Commercial development (assuming you mean office) is pretty tough and risky right now. Multifamily is probably a better play long term than office but hurting a lot from rate rises at the moment.
