Underrated Niches in CRE Brokerage
What niche in brokerage do you think is the most mentally stimulating, fun, and not a headache to work with? Or what niche do you think simply has a lot of growth potential?
I'll start: I think for fun/mentally stimulating, luxury retail and luxury hospitality would be the best. Big budgets (cost saving is a headache), interesting brands and locations, and often an experiential finished product.
For the most growth potential: I think this would be the energy niche. So anything related to our energy infrastructure ranging from powerplants, substations, pipeline leases, battery storage, microgrid solutions, datacenter energy infrastructure etc. Our energy infrastructure is extremely outdated and with the recent influx of capital into datacenter construction, our energy infrastructure will need to be upgraded, expanded, and replaced. However, I think this would have a lot of headaches involved to broker these sorts of deals (permitting/approvals/environmental).
