Underwriting Portfolios

Hi All,

I relatively new at an allocator and we are often looking at portfolio level deals (5-10 assets roughly). Our junior teams are normally pretty lean for these deals (1 or 2 analysts / associates), and I struggle with what the right approach is in terms of balancing high level underwriting with asset by asset detail. It gets especially difficult when the portfolio is in disparate markets.

Curious if folks at other firms have a specific staffing / underwriting strategy when underwriting larger portfolios.
