Urgent - Modelling Test Help
Hey Lovely People!
I am doing a modelling test for a PE shop and they have asked for me to build an equity waterfall with a condition that a certain EM AND IRR is hit in the first hurdle - I've done IRR only scenarios before any idea how to incorporate that?

You would need to run both IRR and EMx scenarios separately and take the max of the two scenarios to hit the hurdle.
Okay so say it was just for Hurdle 1 - that you need X EM hurdle and Y IRR - you are saying to run them both - but what do you mean by taking the max of the two?

hmm managed to do this you can do it in one go by checking IRR + EM but its driven by EM
