Walker & Dunlop Analyst Salary

I was wondering if anyone has worked at Walker & Dunlop or worked with Walker & Dunlop and could tell me anything about the firm. I am a junior looking to intern there but I can't find much information about the firm. I would also appreciate if someone could give me an idea about what to expect the starting salary for analysts to be.

WD is a top CRE finance firm. Their bread and butter is arranging multifamily agency financing via warehouse lending.

EX: A multifamily owner (the "Borrower") needs a loan for an acquisition or refinancing and they will pay WD fees ~1.00% to facilitate a marriage between the owner (or "Borrower") and a government agency a la Freddie Mac who will "purchase" the loan.

This is not to say they do not touch other asset classes or banks do not purchase the loans but multifamily agency lending is their sweet spot. They also launched a debt fund based in NYC recently.

The internship program feeds into their analyst program where you learn debt underwriting and do site visits for three years before transitioning into a "producer" (front office) or continue underwriting.

@JimboUSC I do not see how WD or JBG compete at all...

Space and place.
