Development jobs are not easy to get into led alone ones at very well capitalized groups (with great reputations) such as JBG. You should really ask yourself if you prefer to buy or sell as that’s a lot of the decision too. JBG opportunities may not come around as often as the finance (debt advisory) ones, and many people lateral from advisory to development (or try to go PE) which is can take time to build enough experience.

 

Like others have said, figure out what you enjoy because they’re very different roles. You can be successful at either. But in terms of brand recognition / prestige JBG by a mile
