Ways to experience/learn other sectors of RE
8-9 years into my career. At a firm focused on 2 major food groups. I like my colleagues/pay/job and don't want to leave but I'm very curious about some other asset classes as I have spent most of my career with current company.
What are some ways to learn about the other food groups without having to leave your present company?
So far I've thought of:
- Joining ULI/industry conferences
- Invite people out for coffee/drinks and network
- Read the news
All of which don't really get you involved deeply enough. So any thoughts?
