I was wondering if anyone could provide some insight on deal flow, comp, work split between CMBS and balance sheet, and culture specifically on the west coast for the Wells Fargo real estate platform? Any info would be appreciated!

Bunch of layoffs just happened in SoCal
OP here. I work in the group now, and yes layoffs just happened in SoCal. Across the platform too. More to come probably as well. Not a great time for conduit CMBS originations.
was the Orange County office completely laid off? I've heard some stuff about a re-org but didn't know for sure. Rough time for MBS all around, unless you're a B-piece investor and even then, volume is way down.
